The Inner Coast Range and the Western Sacramento Valley is rich in biodiversity and ecologically unique. Within Berryessa Snow Mountain Region boundaries you find rare and endemic plant species that can only grow on serpentine soil, like the beautiful wildflowers that can only be found on Walker Ridge, or the McNabb and Sargent Sypris. The Cache Creek Wilderness is the largest Bald Eagle wintering habitat south of the Klamath Basin. And then you have the infamous Tule Elk, which you are likely to catch grazing at Cowboy Camp off of Highway 16 in the early morning. We here at Tuleyome want to help you get out and enjoy all that this spectacular region has to offer, and we are happy to provide you with the necessary information. Within the Get Outside section of our website you will be able to find the Tuleyome Calendar of Events, Volunteer Opportunities, and guided hikes or trail maps for those who want to create their own adventure provided by Tuleyome Trails. |
