Cedar Roughs Trail Maintenance

We will install stone steps at the trailhead – between Pope Valley Road and Pope Creek. There is already a cache of stones – we will not need to hunt for these. This is a great opportunity to learn how to build “natural” steps along a trail to improve access and safety to the trail. Please bring water, snacks, lunch and work gloves. Dress for the weather with hiking boots/sturdy shoes.

After completing the work and if the water level allows for safe crossing, we can hike the Cedar Roughs trail. This trail is 1.75 miles (one-way, 3.5 round-trip). After crossing the creek, it is a moderate hike with beautiful views.
