ACTION ALERT
Act Now to Prevent the Rollback of the Roadless Rule and Protect our Lands
The U.S. Forest Service is proposing to roll back the Roadless Area Conservation Rule (Roadless Rule) - one of the most significant rules protecting our national forests. The areas protected by the Roadless Rule contain diverse ecosystems, historic landscapes, and public benefits such as clean water, wood products, and outdoor recreation. This area and its associated benefits have been protected from road construction, mining, and large-scale logging under the Roadless Rule. The rollback of this rule would result in a loss of these protections and therefore remove safeguards that have kept these areas wild for decades.
With these protections at risk, community voices are needed now more than ever. Join us and partner organizations for a Town Hall to learn how the rollback could affect our local forests, hear from experts and advocates, and stand up for the environment we cherish.
The Town Hall will take place on Tuesday, May 12th from 5:30-7:30 pm at Sierra College, Sewell Hall (Room 111), Rocklin, CA. Please join us in standing up for our public lands! RSVP here.
