Pope-to-Putah Backpack and Overnight
mar 7, 2026
10:00 a. m.

The Pope-to-Putah Trail (P2P), west of Lake Berryessa, provides sweeping views of Pope Creek as it flows through Pope Valley and Putah Creek as it flows into Lake Berryessa. The area burned in the LNU Complex Fires in 2020 and has been naturally restoring itself. This will be a great opportunity to see firsthand how our native ecosystems have evolved to deal with fire.

One of Tuleyome's newest Board members, Daniel Frederick, will be leading this event. Daniel has many years of experience leading hiking and backpacking trips and is excited to explore this area.

This is a difficult trail - participants should be prepared to carry their own overnight gear. Only physically fit people should register. Please contact Nate (nlillge@tuleyome.org) if you have questions about the trip.

This is a free event, however a $10 donation to help Tuleyome cover our costs is appreciated. You can make a donation to our general fund here.
