California has 20 species of native oaks, including several that are only found in California. They are found throughout the state in a range of different ecosystems. Where did they all come from? How will they survive challenges like wildfire, drought, and climate change?
Join us via Zoom at 7pm on September 24th to hear from Tuleyome Education associate Dr. Geoff Benn. He will talk about how California's oaks evolved, the different strategies they use to make a living, and what the future holds for these iconic trees.
Please register for the event to receive the Zoom link. I will send out the link on the afternoon of September 24th. If you register after 3pm on 9/24 or if you have unsubscribed from Tuleyome's emails, please contact Geoff at gbenn@tuleyome.org for the link.
This is a free event, however a donation of $10 or more is suggested to help support Tuleyome’s programs. If you have any questions, please reach out to Geoff Benn at gbenn@tuleyome.org.
Note: the lecture from Tyler Siegel that was originally scheduled for 9/24 has been postponed due to unexpected circumstances. We'll post the new date for Tyler's lecture to our event page soon.
