Defend National Monuments Day of Action
Saturday June 7, 2025
Join the June 7th nationwide Day of Action to Defend National Monuments and Public Lands. This event comes ahead of the 119th anniversary of the Antiquities Act, the powerful tool responsible for protecting national monuments such as the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument.
As a way to celebrate these protected spaces while showing our support for keeping them protected, we are joining the Day of Action by reaching out to our communities and encouraging everyone to get outdoors.

WHY THIS MATTERS
Our public lands are under attack. The Administration has issued an Executive Order directing the sale of public lands to private companies. Just last week the House of Representatives voted on an amendment that would do the same. Even though the amendment was removed from the House version of the reconciliation bill, many members of Congress are pushing to sell our public lands and to gut the agencies that oversee them..
These treasured landmarks provide clean water, wildlife habitat, recreation opportunities, and economic benefits to our communities.
Let’s get outdoors and express our appreciation of our public lands!
Keep public lands in public hands!
